Frequently asked questions

What is Sila Clinical and who is it for?

A clinical operations platform for clinics and doctors that connects administration, front desk, booking, encounters, records, and follow-up. It supports individual and multi-doctor, multi-specialty clinics with a focused workspace for each role.

Does it support multiple doctors, specialties, and locations?

Yes. The clinic enables its specialties and services; each doctor selects a scope from those enabled options and explicitly chooses the context of each encounter. Working hours can be linked to the correct location.

How does a clinic get started?

The clinic scope is created first, followed by enabled specialties, services, and locations, then team accounts and permissions. Doctors complete their profiles and schedules, while front desk begins organizing patients and booking requests.

When can a patient see a record?

Patients see only items allowed by their portal scope and explicitly released by a clinician. Internal notes and working differential documentation remain private.

How does public booking work, and is the appointment confirmed?

A visitor chooses a doctor, date, visit method, and a schedule-derived time, then sends a request to the clinic. It is not confirmed until reviewed by the clinic and never creates or automatically links a patient account.

Which optional integrations can be connected?

An organization may connect messaging, email, institutional sign-in, health exchange, payment, or insurance services according to its needs and approved provider. These remain optional integrations and are not presented as active without configuration and approval.

How does the platform protect clinic and patient data?

It uses role-based permissions, clinic and doctor isolation, server-side validation for every request, audit trails for sensitive actions, and tightly controlled sharing and release.

Does it work on mobile and tablet in Arabic and English?

Yes, with RTL/LTR and responsive layouts for mobile, tablet, and desktop.

What can a doctor do inside an encounter?

The doctor selects specialty and service, documents history, examination, and clinician-entered diagnosis, creates prescriptions, orders, procedures, and documents, then reviews results and follow-up before sign-off.

What is the difference between “At the clinic” and “Remote”?

“At the clinic” means the patient attends the location linked to the doctor’s schedule. “Remote” describes the appointment method only and does not automatically imply a video or phone provider.

How does a published doctor page work?

It presents the approved professional identity, specialties, services, locations, and public hours, and accepts booking requests from times offered by the doctor. Private fields and clinical records never appear.

How are training and support handled?

Each user starts with role-specific guidance, while doctors can use the searchable, printable practical guide. Workflow issues are submitted through support using a redacted description without patient identifiers.
